The Sacred Week is an ecumenical meeting that gathers people from various nationalities, cultures and beliefs. Prayer, praises, the sacred singing and reflective reading invite the participants to relive the Passion of Christ, the greatest love story of all times.

Within each day of the meeting, Christ Jesus delivers to all those present a great impulse of Love and Mercy through messages that He transmits to the visionary Friar Elías del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.*

In this year, the Sacred Week takes place from April 14th to 21st, in the auditorium of F2 of the Marian Center of Figueira, in Carmo da Cachoeira, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Entrance is free of charge. Enroll and come relive a great love story.

  • On Holy Friday, a day of retreat and silence, there will be no Sacraments. The schedule will include the Way of the Cross (Via Crucis) and the procession with the Blue Cross.

What shall I do to enroll to participate in the Sacred Week?

How much does it cost to participate in the Sacred Week?

The Sacred Week is an ecumenical meeting with entrance totally free of charge. No fee is charged to participate in the prayers and to attend the Apparition of Christ. However, spontaneous donations are welcome. Get information within this link.

What shall I do to arrive for the Sacred Week?

The meeting takes place in the Marian Center of Figueira, in Carmo da Cachoeira, a town located in the South of Minas Gerais, Brazil. How does lodging Work?

Carmo da Cachoeira is located between three médium-sized cities well-known in the Southern region of Minas Gerais: Lavras, Varginha and Três Corações. Access here and get to know the list of hotels of these cities.

Do I have to participate in all days of the event?

Not necessarily. You may choose to participate in part, in the days in which you are available. What is important is to give yourself the opportunity of feeling the love and the mercy of Christ by means of prayer and the living remembrance of His Passion.

I enrolled in the Sacred Week last year. Do I need to enroll again?

Yes. Enrolment is necessary for the secretary of the Marian Center of Figueira to improve the reception of the devotees and pilgrims who will participate in the Sacred Week.

Is the Marian Center of Figueira connected to any religion?

No. The Marian Center of Figueira and the other Marian Centers of this Work are sacred places that are under the spiritual responsibility of the Grace Mercy Order, which is a Christian religious ecumenical and autonomous organization without formal bonds with any institutionalized religion. Thus, at the request of the Virgin Mary, by means of messages transmitted to the visionary Friar Elías del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, the Marian Centers were founded to welcome devotees and pilgrims of any religion, who seek relief, peace and hope, through prayer and the other liturgical practices offered in these places.

Will Jesus Christ appear during the Sacred Week?

Yes. Jesus Christ has announced that He would appear to the visionary Friar Elías del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús on the eight days of the Sacred Week, transmitting His messages of Love and of Mercy. However, the Apparition does not include any manifestation of a phenomenon. The participants can feel the Presence of Jesus in their hearts, which uplifts the state of spirit and strengthens the bond that each one has with the Master.
